Senior Copywriter

Job Description:

DTN is looking for a talented, versatile, collaborative and creative copywriter to supercharge our B2B messaging. This full-time, in-house copywriter role is a part of our creative team, writing and editing content for a variety of projects including email, digital ads, web, video and sales enablement.  With a passion for a compelling turn of phrase and the diligence to dig into personas, the lead copywriter will help elevate DTN copy in the industries we influence. The copywriter role works closely with campaign managers, marketing operations, communications, and our design team to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, craft and version persuasive messaging across multiple industries and solutions.

An understanding of the nuances required to sell software and analytics is ideal, as is an appetite for introducing new concepts and the courage to test and learn. The ideal candidate must be curious – a quick learner, comfortable with change, eager to raise the bar with fresh copy that connects to a desired persona and drives action. The copywriter role must bring a proven ability to interact with stakeholders who influence the go-to-market process. A sense of humor and experience serving as both consultant and creator is key when working within our matrixed, global environment.

Responsibilities:

Interpret marketing and product value input to develop concepts and compelling copy for execution with assigned solutions.

Research and maintain knowledge of key industries and trends.

Write original and persuasive demand gen copy and edit content for a range of marketing materials.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and proactively recommend optimizations or adjustments to copy.

Able to vary the voice, style, and other characteristics of demand gen messaging based on the industry, company, or persona. 

Collaborate and contribute ideas with a team of marketing strategy, operations and creative staff, from concept development to delivery of final product.

Prepare and present copy or full creative concepts and final deliverables to internal stakeholders for approval.

Revise and occasionally edit other copy based on feedback and content standards.

Adhere to style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline

At least seven years of professional copywriting experience, with solid portfolio of work.

Agency, B2B, and specifically SaaS copywriting experience preferred.

Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times.

Exceptional writing, grammar, and research skills

Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines.

Proven organizational skills and multitasking ability.
